BXAI builds bridges across cultures to pave the way towards a prosperous, sustainable, and conflict-free modern Asia. We invite you to join us in our efforts to bring up a new generation of future leaders who embrace diversity and promote peace in Asia and beyond.

The BXAI Summer Program is an important component of the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP).  Designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, the Summer Program brings our current Bai Xian Scholars together in one location and provides them with a unique opportunity to explore important topics, build community, and foster 21st-century skills in an immersive and engaging setting.  Through exchanges with influential global leaders, panel presentations, debates, and skill-building workshops, scholars are able to broaden their perspectives and develop a greater understanding of important issues that relate to Asia and its role in the changing global landscape.

Since its inception, over 490 scholars have benefited from the Summer Program.  As a result, lifelong friendships have been forged and many cross-cultural partnerships have been formed.

“The vision of Bai Xian Asia Institute is to become Asia’s preeminent educational platform that paves the way toward a prosperous and peaceful modern Asia.  By building bridges across cultures, we seek to develop a new generation of leaders through educational programs that create opportunities for intercultural exchange and learning.”

Professor UCHIDA Katsuichi

“Our mission is to build bridges across cultures.  We are not the entire bridge, but a part of the bridge.  What’s most important is extending beyond ourselves to connect and collaborate with those who may be different from us.”

Ms. Ronna CHAO

“The AFLSP and the Summer Program helped me realize who I should be and my role in society, which is a bridge of China, Korea, and Japan. I hope to continue working alongside my fellow scholars to find a way to really bring these three countries together.”
