Waseda University: Host of the Bai Xian Asia Institute Summer Program 2016

The Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI) Summer Program 2016 will be held at Waseda University, one of BXAI’s university partners, from August 3rd to 24th this year.  Over 135 students from our Partner Universities will join us in Tokyo to connect with each other through a variety of academic and non-academic activities over the course of 3 weeks.

During the first week, students will stay at Waseda University, participating in discussions on topics relating to East Asia and engaging in team-building activities.

In the second week, students will move to Waseda University’s Karuizawa Seminar House to listen and interact with distinguished leaders from a variety of backgrounds.  Students will participate in workshops, socialize through sports activities and go on study tours to Hiroshima and Tohoku to explore local issues and Japanese culture.

Finally, students will return to Waseda University for an open forum to share their experience and findings with the wider Bai Xian Community.
