Waseda University is an Anchor University under BXAI’s Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP). Each year, 15 AFLSP scholarship places are offered for undergraduate double degree programs at the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE).

Waseda University holds as its founding principles the preservation of the independence of learning, the promotion of the practical application of knowledge, and the fostering of good citizens. Its School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE) was also founded in 1882 and was established to promote internationalization and diversity, as well as train a new generation of independent leaders that can take the lead in shaping the future of our global community.
- 15 scholarship places are offered for Waseda University’s SPSE each year. Scholars are supported for one or one and a half years depending on the length of their study program at SPSE.
- Scholars must enroll in undergraduate double degree programs between Waseda University’s SPSE and top universities in Asia, including Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Taiwan University, and Korea University.
- Scholars may tailor their own study plans to focus on either political science or economics.
- Scholars have the opportunity to collaborate with local Japanese students for projects, study tours, and summer camps.
